Featuring Yidam Hevajra in a dynamic dancing pose, created in the traditional Karma Gadri manner on high-quality cotton canvas. The meticulous detailing of pure 24K gold and rich acrylic colors embodies this mighty deity's wrath and spiritual depth.
Hevajra's eight heads and sixteen arms, each of which holds a symbolic skull cup, are highlighted in this Thangka, a work of devotional art. While the skull cups on his left arms depict the eight worldly gods, denoting control over material wants, the skull cups in his right arms each hold an animal, representing the defeat of animalistic instincts. Hevajra's position on a lotus seat, where he crushes the Brahma, Vishnu, Indra, and Shiva images beneath him, demonstrates his power over the cosmos. With every gold detail meticulously added to highlight the sacred symbols and figures, including the top portrayal of Vajradhara and the bottom figures of 4-armed Mahakala and White Mahakala, guardians of the dharma, the use of 24K gold heightens the piece's divine atmosphere.
