About Our Statue :
This Handmade Chenrezig Statue for altars and sacred spaces stands 8.7” (22 cm) in height, with a base width of 6.1” (15.5 cm), and weighs 1.52 kg. Crafted from a copper body and adorned with 24K gold gilding, intricate gold and acrylic paintings, and inlaid gemstones, it is expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans. Reflecting both spiritual significance and traditional craftsmanship, this statue makes a meaningful addition to altars, meditation areas, or personal sacred collections.

In its iconography, Chenrezig is depicted seated in the padmāsana (lotus posture) on a lotus base, with the hands in anjali mudrā, holding a cintāmaṇi (wish-fulfilling jewel), which symbolizes compassion and benevolence. The upper right hand holds a rosary (mālā) for counting mantras, and the upper left hand holds a utpala flower, representing purity. He wears a five-pointed crown, highlighting his enlightened status and spiritual presence.

Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteśvara in Sanskrit, is the Bodhisattva of compassion (karuṇā) in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. He embodies the compassionate energy of all Buddhas and is revered as a protector and guide who hears the cries of sentient beings and works tirelessly to relieve their suffering.

Introduction to Chenresig:

Chenresig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenresigs encourages the development of a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
