About Our Product
This Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarva Statue set presents two revered female masters of the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition in a richly detailed paired composition. Yeshe Tsogyal measures 20 cm in height, 16 cm in length, and 13 cm in width, weighing 1.49 kg, while Mandarva measures 20 cm in height, 17 cm in length, and 13 cm in width, weighing 1.45 kg. With a combined weight of approximately 2.95 kg, both figures are crafted from copper, finished with gold plating, and enhanced with vivid acrylic colors. Their elaborate crowns, jewelry, garments, and multicolored lotus bases bring a refined Himalayan aesthetic to the complete set.
This Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarva Statue features both figures seated in relaxed meditative postures, surrounded by flowing scarves and ornamental flame-like motifs. One figure extends an open hand in a graceful gesture while supporting a ritual vessel in the opposite hand, while the accompanying figure presents a small bowl-like offering object upon an upturned palm and forms a symbolic gesture with the other hand. Both are adorned with jeweled crowns, necklaces, earrings, arm ornaments, and intricately patterned lower garments. Their serene facial expressions, carefully painted features, and balanced seated forms emphasize the contemplative character of the composition.
Together, these two accomplished practitioners hold an important place in the tradition surrounding Guru Padmasambhava. Yeshe Tsogyal is especially remembered as a major disciple, practitioner, and transmitter of Vajrayana teachings in Tibet, while Mandarva is honored as another principal disciple associated with profound realization and spiritual accomplishment. Displayed together, the pair can serve as a meaningful addition to a Buddhist altar, meditation space, or collection devoted to Vajrayana masters and the transmission of Buddhist teachings.
Introduction of Yeshe Tsogyal & Mandarava set
Yeshe Tsogyal, also known as Yeshe Gyalmo, was one of the most important female teachers in Tibetan Buddhism. She was a direct disciple of Guru Padmasambhava and played a crucial role in bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. She is often depicted in a dancing posture, holding a vase filled with wisdom nectar, and is considered a manifestation of the Buddha Vajravarahi.
Mandarava was another important female teacher in Tibetan Buddhism who lived in the 8th century. She was a tantric deity and a disciple of Guru Padmasambhava. Like Yeshe Tsogyal, she was instrumental in introducing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet. Mandarava is often depicted holding a flower or a vase and is associated with the wisdom of emptiness and the ability to transform obstacles into wisdom.
