Yantra Mandala Thangka

Introduction To The Thangka :

Yantra is a mystical diagram, particularly from the Tantric traditions of Indian. A given god is connected with certain yantras, which are used to evoke the deity's presence and characteristics. They are utilized for deity worship in homes or temples. Yantras are utilized for a variety of purposes, including meditation, protecting one's house from danger, developing special skills, attracting prosperity or success, and many others. In addition to being often utilized at daily ritual worship at home or in temples, they are occasionally worn as talismans.

Yantras serve as representations of the god that serves as the focus of meditation. These yantras radiate out from the center. Typical geometric shapes seen in yantras include triangles, circles, hexagons, octagons, and symbolic lotus petals. These shapes radiate concentrically from the center. A square with doors for each of the four cardinal directions is frequently found on the outside.

Yantras can be three dimensional or on a flat surface. Yantras can be carved on metal, painted or drawn on any flat surface, including paper.
