About Our Statue :

This handcrafted Yamaraj statue, measuring 21cm tall and 13cm broad, is an intense Tibetan Buddhist portrayal of Yama, the Lord of Death and Dharma Protector. It is made of oxidized copper with gold plating and acrylic details and weighs 1.378kg. This elaborately sculpted statue would be an excellent addition to altars, meditation rooms, or religious decor collections.

This statue of Yamaraj is shown in a forceful, wrathful attitude, encircled by a coiled, blazing aura representing his power over life and death. His angry visage, which includes sharp fangs, indicates his role in eradicating evil forces and paving the path for spiritual change. Yamaraj carries a rope in his left hand, symbolizing his ability to bind beings in the cycle of samsara, and a sword in his right, representing his ability to destroy attachments and ignorance. The vivid flames around him heighten his dominating presence, representing both his wrathful and protective energies.

Yamaraj is seated atop a single-petal lotus base, representing purity in the midst of samsara, with a two-layer base beneath it for further support. The delicately carved lotus adds to the figure's holiness, and the overall design conveys spiritual strength and visual beauty. This monument not only reflects the profound symbolism of death and transformation, but it is also a stunning work of art, balancing divine strength with meticulous craftsmanship.

Introduction To Yamrarj:
Lord Yamraj is a prominent Hindu figure known as the god of death and the lord of the afterlife. He is responsible for judging the souls of the deceased and determining their fate in the afterlife based on their actions in life. While often depicted as a fearsome and stern figure, Lord Yamraj is also revered and seen as an important part of Hindu cosmology. His role in the afterlife and his power to determine the fate of souls make him a significant figure in Hindu belief.

How do take care of your statues?

Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
