White Tara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Healing, and Longevity, is known for her seven eyes—one on her forehead, two on her palms, two on her soles, and two in their natural positions. These symbolize her all-seeing wisdom, always watchful to help sentient beings overcome suffering. She is adorned with elaborate jewelry and a golden crown, and as you can see, Amitabha Buddha sits in her crown, representing her deep connection to wisdom and enlightenment.
The thangka depicts White Tara in a tranquil pose, her right hand making the Varada Mudra, representing supreme generosity by bestowing blessings, protection, and the realization of wishes. Her left-hand holds a blue lotus, symbolizing purity and her capacity to guide beings through the cycle of samsara. Above her, Amitayus Buddha is portrayed amidst a peaceful landscape, representing infinite life and longevity while showering blessings of health and spiritual enlightenment. At the base, two Bodhisattvas are positioned on lotus pedestals, one in golden tones and the other in deep blue, representing transformation and divine power.
