Introduction To The Statue :
Gendun Drup (1391-1474), the 1st Dalai Lama, was a key Tibetan religious leader and founder of the Dalai Lama lineage. Born in Gyurmey Rupa, Tibet, he became a monk at seven and studied under Tsongkhapa, the Gelug school's founder. In 1447, he established Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, a significant religious center. A prolific writer and scholar, Gendun Drup was posthumously recognized as the 1st Dalai Lama after the title was created for his successor, Gendun Gyatso. His teachings and monastery laid the foundation for future Dalai Lamas, significantly influencing Tibetan Buddhism and culture.

How do take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
