About Our Product
This Vajrayana Ritual Butter Lamp Set is handcrafted with a copper body, acrylic color detailing, and electro gold plating. Designed as a pair of traditional Buddhist offering lamps, each piece features a rich decorative finish with raised auspicious motifs on the bowl and intricate ornamental details around the edges. Measuring 14.5 cm in height with a 10.5 cm diameter, these Tibetan butter lamps are carefully shaped with a refined pedestal base, creating a graceful appearance suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and sacred interiors.
The design reflects the artistic traditions of Himalayan craftsmanship, where every detail carries symbolic meaning. The ornate patterns, golden embellishments, and balanced structure represent purity, abundance, and the transformation of darkness into the light of wisdom. In Tibetan Buddhist practice, butter lamps are offered to dispel ignorance, cultivate awareness, and invite clarity, compassion, and inner peace. This Buddhist offering lamp set serves as a meaningful reminder of the journey toward enlightenment.
Ideal for temples, meditation rooms, personal shrines, and spiritual collections, this Tibetan butter lamp set brings together traditional artistry and sacred purpose. Used during prayers, rituals, and daily offerings, these lamps symbolize devotion, generosity, and the illumination of the mind. Crafted by skilled Himalayan artisans, this ritual offering set reflects Nepal’s rich Buddhist heritage and the spiritual beauty of traditional altar objects.
Introduction to Butter lamp
The whole process of offering a butter lamp is also a very spiritual practice. The traditional practice of preparing a butter lamp starts by washing one’s hand, wearing a mask to protect from contaminating the butter lamp through one’s breath, making the wick out of pure cotton, and cleaning the chalices with a clean piece of cloth reserved for this or fresh mosses from the trees, which was commonly used in old times. The whole process is a meditative spiritual practice that engages a person physically and mentally if they know and practices it according to the norms.
