About Our Product
This Vajrayana Chittipati Protector Statue depicts the traditional skeletal pair associated with Chittipati imagery in Tibetan Buddhist art. Made from copper with fire gold plating and acrylic color, the sculpture presents two dancing skeletal figures within an elaborate ornamental aureole. Created by Raju in 2026, the piece combines detailed decorative elements with a compact format suitable for Buddhist collections and shrine displays.
The sculpture features two skeletal figures positioned in a dynamic dancing posture, surrounded by an ornate flaming aureole. A circular band of skulls frames the figures, while the surrounding flames and scrolling motifs extend toward the pointed upper section. Gold-plated details highlight the figures, ornaments, aureole, skull motifs, and decorated base, while acrylic colors add definition to selected areas of the composition.
In Tibetan Buddhist traditions, Chittipati are depicted as a pair of skeletal figures associated with charnel-ground imagery and contemplation of impermanence. Their skeletal form and dancing posture serve as symbolic elements within Vajrayana Buddhist art. This sculpture is suitable for Buddhist altars, shrine displays, meditation spaces, Vajrayana collections, and collectors of traditional Buddhist iconography.
Introduction to Chittipati MM
Chitipati, also known as Citipati, is a well-known deity in Tibetan Buddhism, particularly within the Vajrayana or Tantric tradition. Often depicted as a skeletal figure, Chitipati is referred to as the 'Lord of the Cemetery' or the 'Cemetery Guardian.' This representation symbolizes life's impermanence and the inevitability of death, which are central themes in Buddhist teachings.
