About Our Product

This Vajrayana Buddhist Ghau Locket measures 16 cm in height, 12.5 cm in length, and 4 cm in width, with a weight of 0.31 kg. Made from copper, the locket is gold plated and decorated with hand carved gemstones, coral, and turquoise. The front is designed in a round form with a large Cheppu face at the center, surrounded by a ring of turquoise petal shapes and detailed beaded borders. At the top, a double vajra style element forms part of the hanging section, while the lower part is finished with a small decorative finial. The careful stone setting and layered metalwork give the locket a strong traditional Vajrayana appearance.

This Ghau Locket features a central Cheppu, a protective Himalayan face connected with guarding sacred spaces and removing obstacles. Around the Cheppu is a wide circular border made from repeated turquoise petal forms, creating a balanced sacred design. Fine filigree work fills the surrounding surface with small curling metal patterns and detailed decorative lines, adding depth and richness to the front of the locket. The upper section includes a vajra shaped ornament decorated with turquoise and coral details. When the back cover is removed, the inside of the ghau reveals a hollow chamber that can traditionally be used for keeping small sacred objects, prayers, mantras, or blessed items. The removable back plate is simple in form and decorated at the center with a small flower shaped setting made with turquoise and coral.
