About Our Product:
This Vajrasattva Yab Yum Sculpture measures 11cm in height, 7cm in length, and 5.5cm in width, with a weight of 0.33 kg. Crafted from copper and finished with 24K gold half gilding, the sculpture depicts the central figure seated with his consort in the traditional yab yum posture. The visible copper surface combined with selected gilded areas gives the piece a distinctive appearance while highlighting the modeled details of the figures and pedestal.
The central figure is seated in a meditative posture while embracing the consort, creating the characteristic yab yum composition. Both figures are adorned with crowns, jewelry, and detailed
garments, with carefully modeled facial features and ornamental elements. The figures rest upon a layered lotus-style pedestal with rounded petal forms, while painted red and blue accents add definition to the garments and surrounding details.
Within Vajrayana Buddhist symbolism, the yab yum representation expresses the union of complementary aspects of awakened practice, particularly method and wisdom. This sacred composition is associated with the inseparability of these qualities on the path to enlightenment. The sculpture is suitable for Buddhist altars, Vajrayana shrine spaces, meditation areas, Dharma centers, and collections of Himalayan Buddhist art.
Introduction of Vajrasattva With Consort
In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajrasattva is revered as a principal figure associated with purification and the removal of negative karma and obscurations. He is traditionally depicted holding the vajra and bell, which symbolize the inseparable qualities of method and wisdom. His Hundred Syllable Mantra is widely practiced in Vajrayana traditions as a method of purification and reflection. When depicted with his consort in the yab yum form, the union represents the inseparability of wisdom and compassionate method, expressing the integration of complementary aspects of the path toward awakening. His practice encourages practitioners to acknowledge harmful actions, cultivate ethical awareness, and develop a sincere commitment to purification and transformation.
