He holds a bell in his left hand and a Vajra in his right hand. The bell represents wisdom, while the vajra represents compassion. He sits serenely on a moon disc atop a lotus seat, his legs crossed, symbolizing that he remained in this impure cycle of samsara for the sake of sentient beings while remaining unblemished by its flaws. Dorje Sempais a purification-focused meditational Bodhisattva deity who is worshipped by Vajrayana Buddhists of all sects. According to the scriptures, repenting to Dorje Sempa and singing his hundred-syllable mantra can cleanse one of all sins and obscurations.
