About Our Product
This Vajrasattva Tibetan Ghau Box Locket is crafted from handcarved silver and adorned with coral and turquoise gemstones, measuring 9cm in height, 8cm in length, and 2.5cm in width, with a weight of 0.12 kg. Created in 2000 by retired artist Ishwor Raj Shakya, this traditional Tibetan Buddhist prayer box features intricate deity carvings, colorful gemstone decorations, and a sacred Vishvavajra motif on the back. Its aged silver finish and detailed ornamental patterns reflect the artistic traditions of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship. This silver Ghau box is suitable for personal shrines, Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and collections of traditional Tibetan religious artwork.
This Ghau box features a square silver structure with an intricately carved multi-armed deity seated upon a lotus pedestal, surrounded by detailed floral scrollwork and decorative patterns. The central figure displays a peaceful expression, an elaborate crown, and multiple hands holding symbolic ritual attributes. Coral and turquoise gemstones decorate the corners and outer edges, creating a colorful contrast against the aged silver surface. A small rectangular loop at the top allows the box to be suspended. The removable back panel displays a finely engraved Vishvavajra, also known as the double vajra, surrounded by a simple silver surface. The detailed relief carvings, beaded borders, and gemstone settings highlight the traditional craftsmanship of this Himalayan Buddhist amulet box.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajrasattva is associated with purification, wisdom, compassion, and the cleansing of negative karma. The sacred Ghau box is traditionally used to carry small blessed objects, mantras, or religious relics as a symbol of devotion and spiritual protection. The Vishvavajra engraved on the back represents stability, indestructible wisdom, and enlightened activity in all directions. The coral and turquoise gemstones complement the traditional Himalayan decorative style. This handcarved silver Ghau locket is suitable for Buddhist devotional practices, personal altar displays, meditation, and sacred art collections. It also makes a meaningful spiritual gift for Vajrayana practitioners and collectors of Tibetan Buddhist artifacts.
