About Our Product

This Vajrasattva Buddhist Sculpture measures 48 cm in height, 36 cm in length, and 26 cm in width, with a weight of 9.91 kg. Crafted from a copper body with electro gold and silver plating, this large sculpture presents Vajrasattva seated peacefully upon an elaborate lotus pedestal. His serene face, ornate crown, detailed jewelry, flowing garments, and richly decorated base demonstrate the intricate artistry of traditional Himalayan Buddhist sculpture. The colorful patterned sections across his robes and pedestal add visual depth, while the combination of gold and silver surfaces creates a distinguished sacred appearance.

Vajrasattva is one of the principal Buddhist figures associated with purification, clarity, and the restoration of spiritual commitments. He is traditionally depicted holding a vajra at his heart in his right hand, symbolizing indestructible wisdom and enlightened method, while his left hand holds a bell, representing transcendent wisdom. The union of the vajra and bell expresses the inseparability of method and wisdom on the path to enlightenment. His peaceful expression and composed seated posture convey meditative stability, while the elaborate crown, ornaments, and garments reflect his enlightened nature. The lotus pedestal symbolizes purity and the unfolding of awakened qualities.

This Vajrasattva statue is well suited for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, purification practices, shrine spaces, monasteries, or sacred collections. Its substantial size and richly detailed presentation make it a meaningful focal point for devotional environments. As a Tibetan Buddhist Vajrasattva sculpture, it serves as a visual reminder of purification, mindfulness, ethical awareness, wisdom, and the aspiration to transform obscuring conditions while progressing toward spiritual awakening.

Introduction To Vajrasattva:

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
