Samantabhadra, also known as the Bodhisattva of Universal Virtue, is referred to as the personification of pure consciousness, the awakened, natural state of mind. He is an embodiment of a state between two, in which there is no division of wisdom and compassion. This form is often depicted in union, and it represents the unity of emptiness and light, or the reality of things.
