We have masterfully hand-carved the Vairocana Buddha statue in the traditional Himalayan style. The figure was hand-carved of oxidized copper and partially gilded with silver and gold. In the statue, the primordial Buddha is depicted sitting on a moon disc lotus seat, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. The Buddha performs the 'Dharmachakra mudra' with his two hands representing the teachings of the Buddha and the path to enlightenment. The statue is full of intricate patterns and motifs that our artists carved out over the course of several months and is beautifully painted with acrylic colors, enhancing its beauty.

Vairocana Buddha is a central figure in Mahayana Buddhism, particularly in the East Asian tradition. He is considered to be the primordial Buddha and is often depicted as the cosmic Buddha who embodies the Dharmakaya, or the ultimate reality of all phenomena. Vairocana Buddha represents the infinite wisdom and compassion of the universe and is believed to be able to guide sentient beings toward enlightenment. His name means "the illuminator" or "the radiant one," and he is often depicted with a serene expression, seated on a lotus throne, with a Dharma wheel or a vajra in his hands.

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
