About Our Product
This Traditional Tibetan Vairocana Sculpture is a handcrafted representation of Vairocana Buddha, one of the Five Wisdom Buddhas in Vajrayana Buddhism, associated with the wisdom of the dharmadhātu and the nature of enlightened awareness. Crafted with a copper body and enhanced with gold-plated details, this sacred sculpture reflects the traditional artistry and spiritual devotion found in Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship.
The sculpture features Vairocana Buddha seated in a meditative posture with the Dharmachakra mudra, symbolizing the turning of the Dharma wheel. Intricate details are visible throughout the serene facial expression, crown-like hair, flowing robes, ornate halo, and decorative throne. The carefully applied gold-plated elements highlight the Buddha’s features and surrounding motifs, while the painted surface preserves the traditional appearance of this handcrafted artwork.
Revered as the embodiment of universal wisdom and enlightened consciousness, this Vairocana Buddha Statue is a meaningful addition to Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, monasteries, and collections of Himalayan sacred art. Its traditional design and detailed craftsmanship make it a representation of Buddhist teachings, contemplation, and the pursuit of awakened wisdom.
Introduction of Vairocana
Vairocana, also known as Mahavairocana Buddha, is one of the five Dhyani Buddhas in Vajrayana Buddhism. He is depicted seated on a lotus pedestal surrounded by hundreds of flowers. He is shown with three heads and holds a sword in one hand, cutting through ignorance, and a vase in another, representing the nectar of immortality. In Chinese, he is known as Dìwéilùbùtuó, meaning "Great Illuminating Buddha." Vairocana is considered the central figure among the Five Dhyani Buddhas and is often referred to as the "great lighting one" or "the Life force that illuminates the cosmos."
