About Our Product

This Traditional Tibetan Ritual Phurba is a sacred Vajrayana Buddhist dagger handcrafted from ethically sourced buffalo bones, created for altar display, meditation spaces, and ritual collections. It measures 65cm in height, 15.5cm in length, and 14cm in width, with a weight of 1.36kg. The natural buffalo bone material highlights the detailed carving techniques and traditional symbolism found in Himalayan ritual art.

This phurba features a fierce Mahakala head at the upper section, representing the powerful protection of the Dharma and the compassionate destruction of harmful forces. The wrathful expression, crown, and detailed ornaments symbolize Mahakala’s fearless energy in overcoming obstacles and negative influences. Below the Mahakala head, the shaft is adorned with additional symbolic carvings and ornamental bands leading toward the three-sided blade, the defining element of the phurba. The triple blade represents the transformation of the three poisons ignorance, attachment, and aversion  into wisdom and awakened awareness. The skull motifs near the lower section remind practitioners of impermanence and the importance of spiritual realization. Each carved element contributes to the phurba’s meaning as an instrument of focused spiritual energy, protection, and purification.

This Tibetan Ritual Phurba can be placed on a Buddhist altar, shrine, meditation space, or sacred collection. Traditionally associated with Vajrayana practices, the phurba represents fearless compassion, the overcoming of obstacles, and the protection of the Dharma. Its presence serves as a reminder of inner strength, transformation, and the journey toward spiritual awakening.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the Phurba knife is a ritual tool symbolizing the destruction of ignorance and ego. Its three-sided blade represents the triumph over ignorance, desire, and aversion, while its elaborate handle features symbolic motifs such as deities, animals, and plants, each carrying significant spiritual meaning. These symbols collectively aim to guide the practitioner toward enlightenment and inner peace. Used in tantric ceremonies, the Phurba embodies the transformation of negative emotions into wisdom, playing a vital role in the spiritual journey of Tibetan Buddhists.
