About Our Product
This Handcrafted Phurba Ritual Tool features a powerful representation of Vajrakilaya, a fierce deity known for subduing negative forces and purifying the mind. Standing at 30.5 cm in height and weighing 1.45 kg, this iron dagger is meticulously crafted, with a fierce face at the top, symbolizing Vajrakilaya’s strength and protective power. In Tibetan Buddhist rituals, the Phurba is used for spiritual purification, cutting through obstacles and ignorance, and inviting the presence of divine protection. The intricate design of the Vajrakilaya Phurba reflects the profound connection between the deity and the practitioner’s spiritual path.
The Phurba Ritual Tool embodies several key motifs, with Vajrakilaya’s face at the top of the dagger representing his ability to overcome adversity and protect the practitioner during sacred rites. The three-pronged blade of the Phurba signifies the cutting away of the three poisons—ignorance, greed, and hatred—while allowing for the clearing of negative energy. This sacred tool is not only a functional item but also a work of art, reflecting the intricate craftsmanship of Tibetan artisans and their devotion to preserving these powerful spiritual symbols.
The Vajrakilaya Phurba is more than just a ritualistic object; it is a tool that facilitates spiritual transformation. By using this iron Phurba in rituals, practitioners invoke Vajrakilaya’s fierce power to overcome obstacles, purify the environment, and bring about enlightenment. Its significance as a tantric ritual tool makes it an essential object for meditation and spiritual growth, enhancing your practice and connection to the divine. This Handcrafted Phurba is a perfect addition to any Buddhist altar or ceremonial space, aiding in the removal of spiritual hindrances and promoting peace and wisdom.
Introduction To The Phurba :
The ceremonial dagger (Sanskrit: Kila; Tibetan: phurba) is essential for expelling evil and is considered particularly effective in neutralizing the forces obstructing Tantric Buddhist practice. It has ancient origins, first appearing in the Indian Rig Veda as the core blade of the vajra used by Indra to destroy the primordial cosmic snake Vritra. Kila, derived from Sanskrit, was most likely associated with Vedic sacrifices. Meditation on the Vajrakila Tantra, an early Indian scripture first promoted in Tibet in the eighth century by Padmasambhava, one of the founding teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, is used to invoke the three-headed Vajrakila Buddha.
