About Our Product
This Traditional Sacred Ritual Knife measures 19.5 cm in height and 5.5 cm in width, with a weight of 0.22 kg. Crafted from white metal with an antique finish, it is decorated with gemstone, coral, and turquoise accents. The piece includes a fitted sheath with raised metalwork, circular stone settings, and small decorative motifs arranged along the front. The flared upper and lower ends give the sheath a balanced traditional form, while the darkened surface brings out the carved details and aged Himalayan character.
This ritual knife features a curved blade that fits closely inside the decorated sheath. The handle and sheath are embellished with raised patterns, round gemstone settings, coral, and turquoise details, while the central red stone forms a strong focal point. The combination of metalwork, antique finishing, and colorful stone decoration gives the piece a distinctive ceremonial appearance. Its compact form and traditional design make it suitable for display with Himalayan ritual objects, sacred collections, or altar accessories.
This handmade spiritual tool can be kept in a shrine room, meditation space, ritual collection, or displayed as a traditional Himalayan decorative object. The detailed sheath, curved blade, gemstone accents, and symbolic presentation give the piece a strong sacred character connected with ritual practice, protection, focus, and spiritual awareness.
Introduction To The Kartika Knife :
While the Kartika is used in many Buddhist rituals, generally in connection with the kapala (skullcap), it is especially essential in the Tibetan practice of Chöd, a ritual involving self-sacrifice in which the practitioner visualizes their own body as an offering at a tantric feast. The Kartika is also famous for its use in the Tibetan sky burial ritual, where dead bodies are cut into small pieces and left on top of special gats or burial platforms for the vultures to consume. Unexpectedly, the Kartika is also used in Feng Shui practice.
