Crafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and acrylic color details, this traditional Tibetan sculpture presents Chenrezig in a peaceful seated posture upon an ornate lotus throne. The statue features a richly decorated crown, jewelry, flowing scarves, engraved garments, and detailed ornaments that reflect traditional Himalayan craftsmanship. Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, represents compassion, loving kindness, and the awakened wish to relieve suffering.
This Chenrezig statue features four arms, symbolizing the boundless activities of compassion. His two front hands are joined at the heart in the gesture of devotion while holding a jewel, representing the precious qualities of awakened compassion. His upper right hand holds a mala, symbolizing continuous practice and the cultivation of compassion, while his upper left hand holds a lotus flower, representing purity and the blossoming of enlightened awareness. He wears an elaborate jeweled crown and ornaments, with gemstone details enhancing the sacred appearance. The detailed lotus throne base symbolizes purity and spiritual awakening, while his calm expression reflects peace, wisdom, and compassion.
