About Our Product
This Traditional Buddhist Ekajati Sculpture represents Ekajati, one of the important protective deities of Vajrayana Buddhism and a powerful guardian of the teachings. Handcrafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic coloring, the sculpture portrays Ekajati in a dynamic wrathful form surrounded by a vivid red and gold flaming aureole. Her fierce expression, elaborate crown, flowing ornaments, and energetic posture are rendered with detailed craftsmanship, creating a striking representation for a Buddhist altar, meditation space, or sacred collection.
Ekajati is traditionally recognized by her distinctive wrathful appearance and unique iconographic features, including one face, one eye, one tooth, and one breast. She is depicted in a powerful stance with wrathful attributes and surrounded by flames, symbolizing the fierce energy that protects the Dharma and overcomes obstacles. Her dynamic posture and intense expression represent unwavering determination, while the blazing aureole signifies the transformative power of enlightened activity. In Tibetan Buddhist traditions, Ekajati is particularly associated with the protection and preservation of profound teachings.
This sacred Ekajati Statue is ideal for Vajrayana practitioners, monasteries, collectors, and those interested in traditional Himalayan Buddhist art. Whether placed on an altar or preserved as part of a spiritual collection, the sculpture represents protection, determination, and the safeguarding of Buddhist teachings while showcasing the rich iconographic tradition of Himalayan sacred sculpture.
Introduction of Ekajati
Ekajati is one of the most potent and imposing protectors in Vajrayana Buddhist mythology. In accordance with Tibetan mythology, the tantric master Padmasambhava wounded her right eye to aid him in more efficiently taming Tibetan demons. Ekajati is also known as "Blue Tara," "Vajra Tara," and "Ugra Tara." She is frequently recognized as one of the three primary defenders of the Nyingma school, along with Rahula. Her typical role in the Green Tara mandala is that of a liberator. She is also said to be able to dispel personal barriers to enlightenment, lessen the dread of enemies, and spread joy.
