About Our Product

This Traditional Altar Dhupur Rice Pot is crafted from a copper body with gold and silver plating, measuring 17cm in height, 7cm in length, and 7cm in width, with a weight of 0.34 kg. Featuring a traditional Tibetan Buddhist ritual design, this sacred offering vessel is decorated with intricately carved auspicious symbols, ornamental patterns, and contrasting golden and silver finishes. Its cylindrical structure and detailed Himalayan craftsmanship make this Buddhist rice offering pot suitable for monastery altars, personal shrines, meditation rooms, and collections of Tibetan ritual objects.

This Tibetan Dhupur rice pot features a cylindrical body divided into four decorative sections, each adorned with raised auspicious symbols surrounded by intricate silver-plated floral and scrolling patterns. Golden horizontal bands separate the sections, creating a balanced contrast with the textured silver surface. The upper portion features a rounded dome-shaped lid decorated with raised lotus-inspired carvings and topped with an ornamental golden Vishvavajra, also known as the double vajra. The lower section rests upon a circular golden base, while the detailed relief carvings and alternating metal finishes highlight the traditional Himalayan design of this Buddhist ritual vessel.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the Dhupur rice pot is traditionally associated with sacred offerings, devotion, and the accumulation of spiritual merit. Rice offerings symbolize generosity, abundance, purity, and the aspiration to cultivate positive qualities along the Buddhist path. The auspicious symbols carved on the vessel represent blessings, harmony, and favorable conditions for spiritual practice, while the Vishvavajra symbolizes stability, protection, and enlightened wisdom. This gold and silver plated Buddhist offering vessel is suitable for ritual rice offerings, daily prayers, Buddhist ceremonies, monastery altars, and devotional shrine displays. It also makes a meaningful addition to collections of Himalayan Buddhist ritual artwork.

A rice bowl represents prosperity, sustenance, fertility, and abundance. Thus, a Rice Bowl is reputed to assist you in warding off any evils to the household and, at the same time, aid you in achieving prosperity in wealth and happiness in your family life. Mostly seen on the Buddha's hands; traditionally, Buddhist monks would use rice bowls to accept offerings from people.
