About Our Product
This statue features a Tibetan Spiritual Five Buddha Stupa crafted from ethically sourced bone powder, measuring 24 cm in height, 12.5 cm in length, and 12.5 cm in width, with a weight of 1.24 kg. The structure rises from a square patterned base into a wide lotus shaped pedestal, followed by the seated Buddha figures and the upper stupa. Fine carved lines define the robes, lotus petals, architectural borders, facial details, and the tiered sections of the stupa, giving the piece a traditional Himalayan appearance.
This Five Buddha Stupa starts with a tiered top above a rounded dome and an upper shrine section. Below this is a lotus shaped platform supported by the central part of the stupa. Around the middle are five seated Dhyani Buddhas: Vairocana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi. Each Buddha has a calm face, traditional robes, an ushnisha, and a different hand gesture connected with enlightened qualities. The figures sit around the center above a wide lotus base with carved petals. Below the lotus section is a flared pedestal with simple carved lines, ending in a square base with a repeating border pattern. In Vajrayana Buddhism, the Five Dhyani Buddhas represent the Five Wisdoms and the change of negative thoughts into enlightened awareness. The lotus base represents purity and spiritual growth, while the stupa represents the enlightened mind and the path to liberation.
This Tibetan Five Buddha Stupa can be used on a Buddhist altar, personal shrine, meditation table, Dharma room, or spiritual display. It can serve as a meaningful focus during meditation, prayer, mindfulness, and Buddhist practice, while also making a thoughtful piece for collectors of Tibetan and Himalayan sacred art.
Introduction To The Stupa :
Great teachers were buried in mounds before Buddhism. Some were cremated, but others were buried sitting in a contemplative manner. They were hidden behind the earthen mound. As a result, the stupa's domed shape depicted a person seated in meditation, much like the Buddha was when he attained Enlightenment and understanding of the Four Noble Truths. The stupa's base depicts his crossed legs as he reclines in a contemplative attitude. The center of the mound depicts the Buddha's body, while the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the pinnacle and is surrounded by a little fence, represents his head. Before the development of depictions of the person Buddha, reliefs frequently represented practitioners exhibiting devotion to a stupa.
