It measures 21cm in height, 16.5cm in length, and 11.5cm in width, with a weight of 1.72 kg. Made from a copper body with an antique finish, this statue features a peaceful expression, detailed monastic robes, engraved patterns, and a beautifully designed lotus base. The traditional style and sacred appearance make it a meaningful piece for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and spiritual collections.
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue shows the Historical Buddha seated peacefully on a lotus throne, symbolizing purity, wisdom, and enlightenment. His curled hair and ushnisha represent his awakened mind, while his calm face reflects peace, compassion, and meditation. He wears a simple monk's robe with detailed carvings, symbolizing humility and the Buddha's teachings. His right hand is in the Bhumisparsha Mudra (Earth Touching Gesture), marking the moment he attained enlightenment, and his left hand holds an alms bowl, representing meditation and the simple life of a monk. The lotus base symbolizes rising above ignorance, and the antique finish adds to the traditional beauty of this handcrafted Himalayan Buddhist statue.
This sacred figure can be placed on Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, yoga spaces, or peaceful home environments to support mindfulness and spiritual practice. His presence reminds practitioners to cultivate awareness, kindness, and inner peace. This Shakyamuni Buddha statue serves as a meaningful spiritual artwork for meditation, devotion, and those who appreciate traditional Tibetan Buddhist art.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, raised to be a king according to his royal father's wishes. However, around age 29, he became aware of humanity's immense suffering. He then renounced his lavish lifestyle, opulent clothing, and fortune to discover the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After nearly six years of study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he achieved his goal: enlightenment (becoming a Buddha). He later claimed to have visited a deer park near Sarnath (Benares), outside Varanasi, India.
