Introduction of Amitayus
Amitayus, also known as Aparmita, is a celestial Buddha revered in Tibetan Buddhism as the principal deity associated with longevity. He represents boundless life, wisdom, and merit, often invoked for practices aimed at extending one's lifespan, overcoming obstacles, and purifying negative karma. He is typically depicted in a meditative posture, holding a vessel containing the nectar of immortality (amrita).
