About Our Product

This Tibetan Kangling Ceremonial Horns set is crafted from copper and white metal, measuring 52cm in height, 9cm in length, and 8.5cm in width, with a single weight of 0.58 kg and a combined weight of 1.15 kg. Featuring a traditional Tibetan Buddhist design, this matching pair of ritual horns combines warm copper surfaces with intricately decorated white metal fittings. Their elongated structure, ornamental carvings, and contrasting metal finishes reflect the artistic traditions of Himalayan Buddhist ritual instruments. This Kangling set is suitable for monastery altars, personal shrines, Vajrayana ritual practices, meditation rooms, and collections of sacred Buddhist objects.

The Tibetan Kangling horns feature elongated, tapered bodies with narrow upper sections and wider, flared lower openings. Each horn displays a circular mouthpiece, raised ornamental collars, and decorative white metal bands engraved with floral and scrolling patterns. The central copper sections have a warm reddish-brown appearance, while the lower portions feature small circular openings surrounded by detailed metalwork. Intricately patterned white metal borders decorate the flared ends, creating a contrast against the copper body. The symmetrical designs, raised decorative bands, and aged metallic surfaces highlight the traditional craftsmanship of these Himalayan ceremonial horns.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Kangling horns are traditionally associated with Vajrayana ceremonies and Chöd practices, where their sound serves as a reminder of impermanence and the transformation of fear into wisdom. These ritual instruments are connected with overcoming attachment, ego-clinging, and spiritual obstacles through compassion and awareness. During Chöd practices, the Kangling accompanies ceremonies emphasizing generosity, purification, and liberation from suffering. This copper and white metal Kangling set is suitable for traditional Buddhist rituals, sacred altar displays, monastery collections, and devotional shrine arrangements. It also makes a meaningful addition to collections of Himalayan Buddhist ritual instruments.

Introduction of Kangling

The Tibetan Kangling, also known as a Tibetan Dung Dung, is a ritualistic trumpet crafted from brass and white metal. It is deeply embedded in Buddhist traditions, frequently utilized in meditation, prayer, and ceremonial practices. The Kangling is recognized for its unique sound, which is believed to dispel negativity, promote healing, and foster spiritual growth. Its design features a narrow mouthpiece connected to a cylindrical body, often adorned with decorative patterns and embellishments. These elements are thought to amplify its spiritual resonance, transforming the Kangling into a powerful tool for enhancing one's spiritual journey and creating a tranquil environment for meditation and reflection.
