Atisa Dipankara Shrijnana was an 11th-century religious leader from Bangladesh who became an expert in Buddhism. He introduced the Three Trainings and the Six Perfections to Tibetan Buddhism, and his influence is still felt in the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism and Buddhist thought and practiced throughout Asia.
