About our Ghau Box Locket
This Tibetan Green Tara Ghau Locket is a handcrafted Buddhist amulet featuring a traditional shrine-style design made with a silver body, gold-plated finish, and colorful gemstone embellishments. The pendant is decorated with intricate filigree patterns surrounding the central sacred image, along with carefully arranged artificial panna, ruby, and turquoise stones that enhance its ornamental beauty. The hinged ghau design opens to reveal the sacred figure inside, while the detailed craftsmanship on both the front and back reflects the traditional artistry of Himalayan Buddhist jewelry making.
Inside the protective shrine, Green Tara is depicted seated in a peaceful posture, representing compassion, protection, and swift assistance for those who seek refuge in her practice. She is traditionally shown with one leg extended and the other folded, symbolizing her readiness to respond to the needs of sentient beings. Her serene expression and graceful posture reflect her compassionate nature, while the surrounding gold filigree and gemstone decorations create a sacred frame that enhances the devotional presence of the image.
This Tibetan Ghau Pendant is designed for personal devotion, meditation practice, and as a meaningful piece of Buddhist jewelry. Traditionally, ghau lockets are carried as portable shrines, allowing practitioners to keep sacred images close during daily activities and journeys. With its gold-plated silver body, gemstone details, and representation of Green Tara, this handcrafted amulet combines spiritual symbolism with traditional Himalayan craftsmanship.
