About Our Product
This Tibetan Dipankara Buddha Sculpture is a sacred stone artwork created in a relief style for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, shrine rooms, and spiritual home decor. Measuring 15.5 cm in height, 9.5 cm in length, and 4 cm in width, with a weight of 0.62 kg, this sculpture carries a grounded devotional presence. Dipankara Buddha is revered as one of the Buddhas of the past and is closely connected with blessings, wisdom, spiritual guidance, and the continuity of the Dharma.
The sculpture depicts Dipankara Buddha standing within a carved stone frame, surrounded by a halo and flame like background details that symbolize sacred radiance and awakened wisdom. His right hand is raised in a blessing gesture, expressing protection, reassurance, and compassionate guidance, while his calm face and upright posture reflect inner peace and enlightenment. The handcarved stone surface gives the piece an ancient Himalayan character, highlighting the robe, lotus base, facial features, and sacred relief form with natural depth.
In Buddhist tradition, Dipankara Buddha is remembered as the Buddha who gave the prophecy that the ascetic Sumedha would one day become Shakyamuni Buddha. His presence represents faith in the path, devotion to the Dharma, and the long journey toward awakening. Placed on an altar or meditation corner, this stone Dipankara Buddha sculpture becomes a meaningful reminder of patience, wisdom, blessings, and the peaceful path toward enlightenment.
Introduction To Dipankara Buddha :
Dipankara is a historical Buddha, supposed to have lived on Earth for a hundred thousand years. The number of Buddhas that have existed in theory is tremendous, and they are sometimes referred to as "Thousand Buddhas." Each was responsible for a life cycle. According to specific Buddhist sources, Dipankara (also Dipamkara) was a Buddha who attained enlightenment eons before Gautama. Dipankara is typically depicted as a seated Buddha, but standing Buddhas are also widespread in China, Thailand, and Nepal. He usually forms a protective mudra (Abhaya mudra) with his right hand, but sometimes makes it with both hands.
