About Our Product
This Tibetan Buddhist Five Buddha Stupa measures 23.5 cm in height, 12.5 cm in length, and 12.5 cm in width, with a weight of 1.29 kg. Handcrafted from ethically sourced bone powder, the piece has a dark antique finish that brings out the carved details across the stupa, Buddha figures, lotus petals, robes, and stepped base. The tall structure rises from a broad lotus pedestal, with several seated Buddha figures arranged around the central section. Fine carved lines across the robes, faces, lotus forms, and architectural details give this Buddhist artwork a traditional Himalayan appearance.
This Five Buddha Stupa features the Five Dhyani Buddhas: Vairocana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi, arranged around the central sacred structure. From top to bottom, the stupa rises through a pointed finial, stepped upper section, rounded dome, and lotus shaped platform. Each Buddha is shown seated in meditation with a calm face, monastic robes, and a traditional mudra connected with a specific enlightened quality. Vairocana represents the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, Akshobhya represents mirror like wisdom, Ratnasambhava represents the wisdom of equality, Amitabha represents discriminating wisdom, and Amoghasiddhi represents all accomplishing wisdom. The front figure is shown with one hand resting in the lap and the other reaching downward in an earth touching gesture. Together, the Five Buddhas represent the transformation of negative states into the Five Wisdoms, while the lotus base below symbolizes purity and spiritual awakening.
This Tibetan Buddhist Five Buddha Stupa can be placed on a Buddhist altar, home shrine, meditation table, Dharma center, or spiritual display shelf. It may be used as a visual focus during meditation, prayer, contemplation, and Vajrayana Buddhist practice. The piece is also suitable for Himalayan art collections or as a meaningful spiritual gift for practitioners interested in Buddhist wisdom, enlightenment, and sacred stupa symbolism.
Introduction To The Stupa :
Great teachers were buried in mounds before Buddhism. Some were cremated, but others were buried sitting in a contemplative manner. They were hidden behind the earthen mound. As a result, the stupa's domed shape depicted a person seated in meditation, much like the Buddha was when he attained Enlightenment and understanding of the Four Noble Truths. The stupa's base depicts his crossed legs as he reclines in a contemplative attitude. The center of the mound depicts the Buddha's body, while the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the pinnacle and is surrounded by a little fence, represents his head. Before the development of depictions of the person Buddha, reliefs frequently represented practitioners exhibiting devotion to a stupa.
