Marpa, Milarepa, and Gampopa Statues, The Three Great Kagyu Teachers
The Great Kagyu Teachers Marpa, Milarepa, and Gampopa statue representing Marpa Lotsawa, the Tibetan forefather of the Kagyu Lineage, was a direct disciple of Mahasiddha Maitripa, an important figure in both Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. Marpa also carries Naropa's lineages, though through intermediary disciples only. Marpa's chief disciple was Milarepa. The statue consists of triple-Layered Gold, 3D Embossed Carving with Deep Multi-Layered Engraving
To this day, Milarepa remains Tibet's most widely revered spiritual master. He is Tibet's supreme yogi. Today, his meditative insights and commitment are carried forward in the Kagyu lineage, mingling with the strong stream of Dharma flowing from Marpa himself.
Gampopa is one of Milarepa's two main heart disciples. He was designated Milarepa's sun-like disciple. His luminous presence shines through the Dagpo Kagyu lineages that collectively bear his name.
This beautiful, hand-carved trio will be a great addition to your meditation practice.
