The Prosperity God, Dzambhala Mantra Thangka | Karma Gadri Style Thangka

Dzambala Mantra Thangka, Buddha Kubera

This Dzambala Mantra Thangka is painted in the traditional Tibetan Painting style of Karma Gadri by our professional artists. Painted on cotton canvas, the thangka uses stone colors along with pure 24-karat gold to highlight the features of the deity. The deity regally sits atop a moon disc lotus seat surrounded by offerings spitting out of a mongoose that indicates the abundance of wealth. The deity holds a citron fruit in his right hand and bears an elaborate gold crown with a halo behind him, gracing us with his presence.

Thangkas are an important component of Vajrayana Buddhist practices, so this brilliant piece is a perfect gift for any fellow devotee like yourself. It can be used for many Buddhist rituals and to gain merits.

Note: Jambhala Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Jambala is also known as the "Money Guard." Kubera, the Buddhist form of the God of Wealth. The prosperous-looking Zambala is always depicted as slightly overweight but not obese and with a healthy body. He wears a lavish crown on his round head and clutches a lemon in his right hand. He is frequently seen sitting on a little dragon that appears to be cute. In Asia, dragons are revered as beneficent beings. Zambala is clutching a mongoose that spits out gems in his left hand. In addition, he frequently carries additional symbols of plentiful riches in his hands, such as a money bag filled with coins. Zambala appears semi-wrathful, seated on a moon disc atop a lotus seat with his right leg extended.
