The Great Three Bodhisattvas (Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara, and Vajrapani) represent the fundamental principles of Mahayana Buddhism: wisdom, compassion, and enlightened action. These revered figures are exquisitely portrayed in this thangka, encouraging practitioners to uphold these virtues in both their daily lives and spiritual practice. In the center, Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, wields a fiery sword to cut through ignorance while clutching a sacred scripture as a symbol of knowledge.
