Exquisite Hand-Painted Dharma Teacher Buddha Shakyamuni | Gold Embellished on Deep Blue Canvas
In this revered thangka, the Dharma Teacher Buddha Shakyamuni is beautifully depicted, embodying the knowledge, compassion, and teachings that have guided countless beings toward enlightenment. This thangka, created on fine cotton canvas using acrylic colors and genuine 24K gold, showcases a splendid example of traditional artistry. The blue canvas serves as a profound backdrop, symbolizing the vast expanse of wisdom and the limitless nature of enlightened awareness, while the gold detailing enhances the intricate beauty of the composition. The gold detailing further enriches the composition with intricate patterns on Buddha's robes and a luminous halo that encircles him.
Prince Siddhartha Gautama, born in Lumbini, renounced royal life in pursuit of ultimate truth, engaging in meditation and ascetic practices. After achieving enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, he committed his life to teaching liberation. In this thangka, he is seated in a vajra posture, presenting a serene and majestic figure. His right hand is depicted in the earth-touching mudra, symbolizing his moment of enlightenment, while his left hand holds a bowl, representing renunciation. His robes, embellished with golden patterns, flow gracefully, reflecting the depth of his teachings. The ornate lotus throne and intricate floral and celestial motifs beneath him emphasize his divine presence.
