Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha:
This statue is based off of one of the well-known story about the Buddha. It is goes, one fateful day, the Buddha encountered an injured bird lying down on the floor. The Buddha felt compassionate for the poor creature, unable to fly and in pain. He gently picked the bird up and held it lovingly hoping to help ease its suffering. He claimed that the bird suffered because of its bad karma but through his care and compassion, he is helping the bird create new positive karma that will lead to better reincarnation.

How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a
glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can
smudge the face, leaving scratches.
