Bhaisayaguru Statue For Sadhana Of The Medicine Buddha
This pulchritudinous Looking Statue for Sadhana of the Medicine Buddha was Hand-carved by skilled craftsmen from Kathmandu Valley, "City of the Arts." The Artists who carved this statue are illustrious for their work all across the valley.
He is pictured on the throne, seated upon a lotus seat made of carvings, with a serene look. He is carrying an alms bowl full of long-life nectar in his left hand and the "great medicine," the myrobalan plant, in his right hand, which is in the mudra of touching the soil.
Medicine Buddha is best described in the Medicine Buddha sutra as the Buddha who took 12 great vows after the attainment of the Enlightenment.
