About Our Product
This Standing Tara Deity Sculpture is a sacred Buddhist relief artwork made from stone, measuring 15 cm in height, 9.5 cm in length, and 5 cm in width, with a weight of 0.76 kg. In Buddhist traditions, especially Tibetan Buddhism, the standing form of Tara is often understood as Green Tara, the deity of swift compassionate action. Her presence represents protection, guidance, courage, healing energy, and the readiness to help beings move beyond fear and obstacles.
The sculpture depicts Tara standing gracefully within a carved stone frame, with a gentle swaying posture that reflects the traditional tribhanga, or three-bend pose. This youthful and elegant stance symbolizes her active compassion and readiness to respond quickly to suffering. Her right hand extends downward in Varada Mudra, the boon-granting gesture of generosity and blessing, while her left hand is held near the heart in Vitarka Mudra, the teaching gesture that represents wisdom and Dharma transmission. She is also shown with the stem of an utpala lotus, which blossoms near her shoulder and symbolizes purity, awakened wisdom, and enlightened activity.
In Tibetan Buddhist practice, Green Tara is honored for removing fear, clearing obstacles, and offering swift protection through compassion and wisdom. Her standing form reminds practitioners that compassion is active, graceful, and ready to serve all beings. Placed on an altar, shrine, or meditation corner, this stone Tara statue becomes a meaningful reminder of devotion, inner peace, protection, and the path toward enlightenment through compassionate action.
