About Our Product

This Standing Lokeshwor Statue for Meditation is a handcrafted copper sculpture created in 2024, featuring an antique finish inspired by traditional Himalayan Buddhist artistry. The statue portrays Lokeshwor (Avalokiteshvara), the Bodhisattva of Compassion, standing gracefully on a lotus pedestal with an intricately carved arched backdrop. The detailed surface work, serene expression, and traditional styling reflect the dedication of skilled artisans preserving Nepalese Buddhist sculpture techniques.

The sculpture features a peaceful facial expression, elaborate crown, ornaments, flowing garments, and carefully carved decorative elements. As a representation of Avalokiteshvara, the figure embodies compassion, wisdom, and the aspiration to benefit all beings. The antique-finished copper surface enhances the depth of the carving, giving the artwork a distinctive character suitable for spiritual collections and traditional displays.

Created as a piece of Himalayan Buddhist Art, this Lokeshwor sculpture is suitable for meditation rooms, Buddhist shrines, galleries, and personal collections. The combination of traditional iconography, copper craftsmanship, and antique finishing makes it a meaningful representation of Tibetan Buddhist heritage and contemporary artisan work.

Introduction of Lokeshwor

In Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, Lokeshwor, which translates to 'Lord of the World,' is a highly esteemed bodhisattva personifying unending mercy. Also known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, he is revered across East Asian, Tibetan, and Nepalese cultures. Lokeshwor is depicted in various forms, including those with four arms and a thousand arms, symbolizing his boundless compassion. The chant Om Mani Padme Hum, representing enlightenment and universal love, is closely associated with him. He is particularly revered in Nepal as Karunamaya and Matsyendranath. Devotees believe that invoking Lokeshwor's blessings fosters kindness and wisdom, leading to freedom from pain.
