About our Statue:

Standing Buddha Holding a Calf Statue measures 6.3 inches (16 cm) in height with a 3.0-inch (7.5 cm) base and weighs approximately 0.49 kg. Crafted from oxidized copper, this finely detailed sculpture captures the compassionate Buddha gently holding a calf, symbolizing kindness, care, and nurturing energy. Perfect for home altars, meditation spaces, or as a meaningful gift, this handcrafted piece is a beautiful representation of Buddhist values. Made with traditional Nepalese craftsmanship.

The Buddha stands upright on a lotus pedestal, symbolizing purity and spiritual elevation. His right arm is relaxed and extended downward, with the hand open in a gesture that suggests generosity or reassurance. The Buddha wears the traditional monastic robe (sanghati), which drapes gracefully over both shoulders and falls in stylized folds down to the ankles. The most distinctive feature is the calf draped over the Buddha’s left shoulder, with the left hand gently supporting it.

Introduction to the Standing Buddha:

The "Standing Buddha Holding a Calf" statue is a rare and evocative representation that blends classical Buddhist symbolism with local cultural elements. It emphasizes the Buddha’s boundless compassion, his protective nature, and the universal scope of his teachings, extending kindness to all sentient beings, human and animal alike. This unique statue depicts a standing Buddha holding a calf over his left shoulder. While this is not a common theme in mainstream Buddhist iconography, it does appear in certain regional Buddhist art traditions, particularly in Nepal and Southeast Asia, where local stories and symbolism are sometimes integrated with classical Buddhist imagery.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

• Handmade items may have slight variations

• Colors may differ slightly due to natural materials and lighting
