About Our Product
This Spiritual Manjushri Sculpture is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist artwork handcrafted from a pure copper metal sheet and adorned with 24K high-grade gold plating and mercury gold plating through the traditional fire gilding technique. Measuring 25 cm in height, 20.5 cm in length, and 8 cm in width, with a weight of 0.76 kg, the sculpture depicts Manjushri seated gracefully with an elaborate aureole surrounding him. The detailed aureole, intricate carvings, flowing patterns, and radiant golden surface reflect the exceptional craftsmanship of Himalayan Buddhist metal artistry.
Manjushri is revered as the Bodhisattva of transcendent wisdom, intelligence, and enlightened knowledge. This artwork portrays him holding the flaming sword of wisdom in his right hand, symbolizing the cutting away of ignorance, confusion, and delusion. His left hand holds the stem of a blossoming utpala flower supporting the Prajnaparamita Sutra, representing the perfection of wisdom and the teachings that guide beings toward awakening. The ornate aureole behind him symbolizes enlightened radiance and the expansion of wisdom that illuminates the path toward liberation.
The reverse side of this sacred artwork features a carved mantra inscription and a Bishwo Vajra (Vishvavajra), symbolizing the indestructible nature of enlightened wisdom, stability, and the foundation of the Dharma. Introduction of Manjushri
In Sanskrit, Manjushri means "very auspicious." In Tibetan, Manjushri translates to "good companion," and he is also associated with the Kadampa Buddhist tradition, known for its scholars.
