Introduction of Dipankara Buddha
Dipankara is a historical Buddha who is said to have lived on Earth for a hundred thousand years. The number of Buddhas that have existed in theory is enormous, and they are sometimes referred to as "Thousand Buddhas." Each is believed to have its own unique features and to have appeared on Earth in a particular life cycle to help sentient beings achieve enlightenment and freedom. While some were more well-known than others, all were considered genuinely enlightened. Dipankara is a relatively rare Buddha in the Tibetan tradition, though he is not as well-known as Amitabha or Shakyamuni. He is usually shown as a seated Buddha, but standing Buddhas are also common in China and Thailand. He usually has two hands in a mudra, but he sometimes has three heads and hands. In the Northern or Sinic Buddhist tradition, the three jewels are typically represented by three symbols: the Buddha, the Dharma (or teachings), and the Sangha (or community). The three heads and hands of Dipankara are thought to represent these three jewels.

During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
