Purification Deity 24K Gold Vajrasattva Spiritual Awakening Statue | Dharma Buddha
This stunning (23 cm) 24k Gold Vajrasattva statue is the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition's ultimate representation of perfection and enlightenment. This statue, crafted from copper and gilded with 24K gold, weighs 1.27 kg and has been adorned with beautiful gold and acrylic paintings symbolizing Vajrasattva's peaceful and enlightened form. Vajrasattva is seated in the vajra posture (lotus position), symbolizing deep meditation and spiritual balance, with his peaceful expression reflecting inner purity and compassion.
Vajrasattva's right-hand holds a vajra (thunderbolt) at the core of his body, representing indestructible consciousness and might. His left-hand holds a bell (ghanta) near his hip, symbolizing wisdom and emptiness. These hallowed items represent the confluence of method and wisdom, the foundation of enlightenment. Vajrasattva sits on a lotus throne, adorned with a five-pointed crown representing the five Buddha families and jeweled ornaments symbolizing his divine nature. He represents purity and the spiritual road to awakening. This statue is ideal for personal meditation areas, altars, or as a spiritual work of art for any Tibetan Buddhist collector.

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
