Small Sized Medicine Buddha Thangka for Practice

We have painted the Medicine Buddha shown in this thangka in lapis lazuli blue. The thangka's color scheme is nicely harmonized to provide calming enjoyment when viewed. He is holding a branch of myrobalan in his right hand. He has a lapis lazuli pindapatra on his lap with a bottle of medication in his left hand. The Buddha has long-lobbed ears, an ushnisha, an urna, and curly hair. The color blue, or lapis lazuli, on his body denotes that he accepts all the illnesses and maladies of the suffering beings.

Note: Medicine Buddha Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

In the Tibetan Kangyur, the Buddha of Medicine is the focal point of three sutras. The twelve ambitions of the Buddha of Medicine are outlined in one sutra, the aspirations of the seven other medicine buddhas are outlined in another, and the dharanis or mantras of the countless Buddhas of treatment are outlined in the third sutra. He is also a prominent figure in the Four Medical Tantras, which form the basis of Tibetan medicine and numerous therapeutic sadhanas.

OUR TEAM
We are a team of traditionally trained Karma Gadri artists from Boudha Stupa. Our lineage comes from Venerable Master Jamyang Phunshok. Who is from Kham, Eastern Tibet.

We are focused on bringing accurate iconographic thangka, which will be helpful to your practice.

CONSECRATION OF THANGKA
As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $20 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration service.

Consecration of Thangka Print
At the EvamRatna, the consecration procedure entails a precisely planned set of rituals and ceremonies. As requested for consecration/ blessing, we take the thangka print to respective Monasteries.
