About Our Statue:
This remarkable statue of Shakyamuni Buddha seated in meditation captures the essence of meditation with intricate details in the Nepali artwork. This finely crafted piece will add a sense of sophistication to any home or office.

Handmade in a copper body, the statue's face is painted with 24k gold powder, and Buddha's robe is silver-plated. He is depicted sitting atop a lotus seat with a calm expression. His right hand is downward in the earth-touching gesture (bhumisparsha mudra), with which he calls the earth goddess Sthavara to affirm that he is entitled to attain enlightenment, and in his right hand, he holds an alms bowl.

Shakyamuni, often known as "The Buddha," was a prince named Siddhartha Gautama who embarked on a spiritual journey after observing the suffering of life. He presented his insights after reaching enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, laying the groundwork for Buddhism. His teachings emphasize the abolition of suffering, personal awakening, and the attainment of Nirvana.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king, following his father's wishes, and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
