Shakyamuni Buddha Gold Silver Thangka
About our Thangka
Our thangka is handpainted Tibetan art that is done using traditional methods. It is a unique piece created using genuine 24K gold and natural stone colors.
This Thangka portrays Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha and founder of Buddhism. Shakyamuni's life story is deeply revered in Buddhist tradition, depicting his journey from prince to ascetic and ultimately attaining enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Shakyamuni embodies compassion, wisdom, and the path to liberation from suffering.
In the thangka, Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted in a meditative posture, often seated in the lotus position with one hand in the earth-touching mudra (gesture). The thangka features gold and silver tones against a black backdrop, highlighting the Buddha's radiant and serene presence.
This thangka serves as a powerful object for meditation and contemplation. By incorporating the Shakyamuni Buddha thangka into a meditation space or shrine, practitioners can cultivate a sense of tranquility and connect with the Buddha's teachings. The visual depiction of Shakyamuni Buddha inspires reflection on the noble qualities of enlightenment and the pursuit of spiritual awakening.
