About Our Statue :

The Shakyamuni Buddha statue for the altar stands 32cm tall; this handcrafted figurine depicts Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha and founder of Buddhism. Shakyamuni Buddha, revered as the epitome of wisdom and compassion, is frequently shown on personal or temple altars to promote meditation, mindfulness, and spiritual enlightenment.

This figure, expertly constructed from wood and clay, exudes peace and traditional Himalayan workmanship. The natural texture of clay and wood's strong structure provides visual beauty and symbolic meaning. Every detail has been carved with dedication, symbolizing Shakyamuni's teachings of serenity and mindfulness. It's ideal for meditation corners, yoga studios, or spiritual nooks, and it makes a great focal point for practice, devotion, or just conscious decor.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king in accordance with the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune in order to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

• Handmade items may have slight variations

• Colors may differ slightly due to natural materials and lighting

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.

Please Note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
