Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted sitting in the lotus pose (padmasana), indicating his steady concentration and mastery over the distractions of the material world. His right hand stretched toward the earth in the bhumisparsha mudra, representing his moment of enlightenment, as he invited the earth to witness his awakening. The left hand, lying gently in his lap in dhyana mudra, holding an alms bowl, depicts the profound state of meditation and mindfulness that leads to insight and clarity.

Introduction to Shayamuni Buddha:

Shakyamuni Buddha, once Prince Siddhartha of the Shakya clan, left behind his royal comforts to seek a more profound truth beyond worldly joys and sorrows. Through intense meditation and ascetic practice beneath the Bodhi tree, he attained enlightenment and became the Buddha—the Awakened One. Devoted to sharing the path to liberation, he taught the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. Shakyamuni symbolizes the potential for awakening in everyone, embodying wisdom that conquers ignorance and fosters serene detachment. His enduring presence invites us to embrace compassion, mindfulness, and the transformative journey within.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

• Handmade items may have slight variations

• Colors may differ slightly due to natural materials and lighting

During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks.
