About Our Statue

The sculpture of Samanthabhadra with Consort measures 5.5”/14cm in height and 4.3”/11cm at the base and weighs 0.73 kg. It is skillfully handcrafted from an oxidized copper body and depicts the union of ultimate wisdom and compassion in its purest, formless state. Revered in Tibetan Buddhism as the primordial Buddha in eternal embrace with his consort, this statue symbolizes the non-dual nature of reality and is a powerful addition to any meditation or sacred space.

Samantabhadra, known as the Primordial Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism, symbolizes the pure, fundamental nature of mind and reality—the essence of Buddhahood beyond form and duality. He is often depicted in a seated posture on a lotus throne, representing spiritual purity and transcendence. In this statue, Samantabhadra is shown with his consort, symbolizing the union of wisdom (prajñā) and compassion (karuṇā)—the inseparability of emptiness (śūnyatā) and skillful means (upāya). This duality is a central theme in tantric Buddhist philosophy, highlighting the balance of these forces as essential for enlightenment.

Samantabhadra, known for his deep blue hue, represents the dharmakaya—truth body of Buddha, which signifies boundless wisdom. In Vajrayana Buddhism, his union with his consort exemplifies the perfect merger of wisdom (prajña) and skillful means (upaya), illustrating the path to enlightenment through the integration of dualistic aspects of existence.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

• Handmade items may have slight variations

• Colors may differ slightly due to natural materials and lighting

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
