About Our Product
This Sacred Vajrayana Phurba Dagger represents the powerful enlightened activity of Vajrakilaya (Dorje Phurba), a wrathful deity in Vajrayana Buddhism associated with protection, purification, and the removal of obstacles. The Phurba is a sacred ritual dagger used in tantric practices to transform negative forces and overcome spiritual hindrances. Crafted with a copper body, acrylic color details, mercury gold finishing, this handcrafted ritual object measures 8.5cm in height, 15.5cm in length, and 6cm in width, with a weight of 0.17kg. Its detailed design and powerful symbolism make it a meaningful addition to Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and spiritual collections.
This Spiritual Ritual Phurba Dagger features a traditional design representing Vajrakilaya (Dorje Phurba), a wrathful deity in Vajrayana Buddhism associated with protection, purification, and the removal of obstacles. The upper section shows a fierce deity face, symbolizing the power to overcome negative energies. Above it, the horse head of Hayagriva represents strength, courage, and enlightened power. The handle is decorated with traditional Himalayan patterns, while the pointed three-sided blade symbolizes cutting through ignorance, attachment, and hatred. Crafted from copper with a gold finish, and hand-painted details, this Phurba reflects the beauty and spiritual meaning of traditional Tibetan ritual art.
This sacred Phurba is traditionally connected with Vajrakilaya, who is often depicted with wrathful expressions to symbolize the powerful removal of obstacles and protection of the Dharma. It can be displayed on a Buddhist altar, meditation space, or spiritual collection as a symbol of strength, purification, and transformation.
The ceremonial dagger (Sanskrit: Kila; Tibetan: phurba) is essential for expelling evil and is considered particularly effective in neutralizing the forces obstructing Tantric Buddhist practice. It has ancient origins, first appearing in the Indian Rig Veda as the core blade of the vajra used by Indra to destroy the primordial cosmic snake Vritra. Kila, derived from Sanskrit, was most likely associated with Vedic sacrifices. Meditation on the Vajrakila Tantra, an early Indian scripture first promoted in Tibet in the eighth century by Padmasambhava, one of the founding teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, is used to invoke the three-headed Vajrakila Buddha.
